I love MINIs so much, I just bought my second one, "Wicked Wanda!" A gorgeous all Jet Black MCS! And everywhere I take her, she's getting BIG smiles and thumbs-up!

Leave the non-believers to their own sad, MINI-less world! Tee hee! You have seen the light!

I bought my MCS last December and more people have asked me for rides in this car than in my Acura NSX. Now that I have one, I also found out that Bobby Rahal has one, and a few other professional roadracers and sportbike racers.

The people that label it a "clown car" are ignorant about what the car is all about. I've had quite a few performance cars - from Porsche 944 Turbo to a RUF 911 Turbo to my current Acura NSX-T, and the MCS is right there with all of them in the fun to drive category. I'm looking forward to some open-track events with this car - but that might wait awhile since I'm still having too much fun with the NSX at the track.

To think about it in the simplest way, remember the old song that goes "They all laughed at Christopher Columbus...."

I also sold a BMW (97 328is) to get the MINI.

I love the car. Much more fun to drive. More of an attention getter (not always a good thing). And, it is cheaper (which I like).

The ONLY complaint that I have is that the golf bag doesn't fit too well. But that is a small price to pay for something that makes me happy.

I still get a lot of comments on it being so small. But I am young and single - I don't need anything too practical right now.

BTW - my favorite line that I keep getting from friends is:

If you can't find a parking spot, I can put it right here in my pocket for you!

>> I haven't gotten the clown car comment either, but yesterday when I had a flat, one of my coworkers told me to go down to the vending machine at the office and replace the flat with one of those little chocolate donuts.<<

You could do that with the original Mini, but not the new ones

im a car guy and have had almost all the different country cars. france, england, italian, swedish, japanees, us, old and new, german old and new, and this is one fun car. also seems to be well built. maybe some window problems. but all in all it is one of the funest cars to drive. this past weekend did a drive with a bunch of austin healey nuts and the mini was so much more fun to drive than the old 100/4 but of course it is 50 years newer. so get one and have a blast. and if they laugh at you they dont know what there missing. by the way i hope not to many people will want to buy these because they stop road rage you are to happy to be bumed at someone.

That's pretty clever.

Today when I parallel parked in the lot at the train station I was in between two HUGE trucks...I wished I had had my digital camera. I LOVE seeing how small my MINI is compared to those gas guzzling land barges that people drive!

IMHO.......
The MINI is an econosport car......

It's not a true sports car......but ....is truly a sporty car

It is truly exceptional...in it's class....&...... it's price range

Peace,
D

Couldn't be more true. Check my sig. Didn't know anything about Madonna's lyric when if occurred to me.
Maybe she's a closet MCO member!

My mini definately makes me smile, well almost laugh when I jam down the gas.
I definately get "jabbed" by people that I work with as they get into their enormous rides, but being a little different is cool. The car is gaining so much popularity that soon it won't even be so different at all. Have you driven one yet? Definately do.
