Canceled order

Welp, I canceled my order for the '06 MCS JCW I had placed. The car is actually on the boat, on it's way here. We already have 2 Minis now and to be honest, another car caught my eye. So we will still be in the Mini family, just won't have a new MCS for me to drive (I drive the '03, wife drives the '06 conv). If anyone is wanting a '06 Astro Black with the silver roof and mirrors, aero kit, JCW and JCW wheels there will be one sitting in Greenville,SC at Century Mini. Just ask for John. The Mini should arrive in a couple of weeks.
Even though I am buying another car from them and have no obligation,I figured I would throw this out there for someone who might be interested in this car. I don't work for them, nor do I get anything out of this except to feel a bit better about switching gears on them, so to speak.

Hey Minihed...I thought we were going to take delivery at the same time at Century!

My MA is John as well.

I'm sure you'll be missed in the Production Week 37 thread. Good luck with alternate car. And, if you don't mind me asking, were you successful in getting your deposit back?

Everytimeidie - A '07 BMW 335i Coupe

Rare1 - yeah, sorry about that, however, I am getting a car from the same lot (BMW side). They agreed to let me transfer my deposit towards the new car I was getting from them (over at Century BMW). I don't think they would've done that if I just canceled my order after they had built my car.

I will also be bringing my '03 in for service in 2-3weeks (and to get new rims I think) so maybe I'll get to see you pick up your new ride..

dragonslayer - the Mini is around 40k all said and done. Most of the cost came from accessories. Like the aero kit, JCW (of course), the JCW wheels (almost 3k right there alone) and a few other bits. I can't imagine they will list it for anything higher than they were going to charge me.

Good choice with the 335ci! I'm not a fan of the automatic seatbelts, but who cares when it has an awesome engine like it does!

I'm a bimmer fanatic too and will wait for the E92 M3 8-cylinder, same engine as my 2002 E39 M5!

I should be getting my new coupe this week hopefully. Trying to decide between Titanium Silver, Space Grey or Black Sapphire. They said they should be able to locate me one close by. I'll be going with black leather interior and the aluminum trim. I drove one on Saturday and it was every bit as fast as my '03 M3 but was a much better ride overall, tighter build quality and had a nicer interior, imho. It really is as great as the reviews are saying it is.

Color wise...if you were going to go with an Astro Black Mini, I'd get the Space Grey. Stick with the whole outer-space theme!

Titanium Silver and Black Sapphire have been around like 4ever...4EVER!!!!

The 335ci is really a bang for the buck and supposedly the dyno charts show the hp to really be around 350hp. With very few mods I'm sure you can get it up to 400hp...if you're into doing that sort of thing.
