What is the little black device on my.......

There is a black device with an electrical connection attached to my lower grill.

Any ideas?

If it's the front grill, the outside temp probe.

If you disconnect and the reconnect it, your onboard temp readout says 40 below zero or some crazy temp until it recalibrates! (I guess I'm just easily amused...)

I read that if you disconnect the ECU it will remove 1 mile from the odo.

Where is the ECU and how long would it take to go through this process about 30,000 times?
