couple of more questions about config.

Does this Cajeta ( little box ) have intermittent wipers standard ?

Is the alarm a popular option amoung most ?

Can I get all season tires from the factory ? I thought I heard you can, but I don't see that option from the configurator.

Seems like the antracite interior would require a bit more maintenance to look clean as opposed to the standard silver. But does the silver make glare ?

How is that bluetooth ? Does it work well ?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

1) Yes. Your wipers are speed sensitive in both intermittent and low/high speeds, including the wiper in the rear window.
If you get the 'Rain sensing' wipers (Which I have and highly recommend), the wipers are fully automatic and speed/wipe frequency is adjusted by the computer according the the number of water doplets hitting the infrared sensor mounted high up (center) of the windshield. You can also "manual override" and adjust speed low/high manually as in the standard wipers.

2) Alarm. depends where you live and where you park your car. I don't have it and many people I know don't have it either. The alarm is meant to "protect" interior contents. Your MINI already comes standard with rolling code technology and engine cut off/immobilizer. It is up to you if you want to pay the dealer for the content alarm.

3) yes you certainly can. 15" non-runflats are all season, 16" runflats can be ordered all season or performance. Ditto for 17" wheel/tire combos.

4) get Anthracite, you'll thank me for it. I have silver in my other MINI and it scratches way too easily. My Anthracite lacquer finish is 100X better in terms of durability and looks the business!!

5) Bluetooth, I can't help you there as I don't have it enabled and neither do I own a Bluetooth enabled cell phone.

Any questions, just fire away. I have owned 3 new MINIs since 2002, so I am pretty good at helping people decide their orders and specs.

Interminttent wipers are standard, some programing is available with regard to wiper speed in relation to auto speed.

With keyless entry, remote lock and unlock with key, mostly people in urban areas order alarms, IMHO.

15" wheel options have an all season tire, also has a mini spare, not available with 16" and 17" wheels.

No glare with the silver interior, and the contrast highlites the interor design more than the anthracite.

Have no experience with bluetooth option, sorry.

Get the Parrot bluetooth kit from newministuff.com. It's less than $300, works with the MFSW controls and works with just about any bluetooth phone. I installed mine in less than 30minutes.

1) Alarm - don't bother if you don't really think you need it, they go off all the time, no one pays attention.
2) I was going to get silver (with the beige leather) but Hedrick at Brian Harris in Baton Rouge talked me out of it. I am glad, the anthracite looks fine, no particular problem keeping it clean.
