R50/53 Yellow - maintenance & 'dirt hiding' potential?
#1
Posted this on another less frequented forum and got only one short response. Hope its OK to ask here.
Obviously black and probably blue/red shows dirt up and need to be washed more regularly than something like silver which seems to go forever without seeming dirty.
Where does yellow fall in this spectrum? Does it show up dirt easily? Does it fade easily? How's the long term prognosis in terms of durability compared to silver?
Thanks for any informed answer out there. Surely there's a bunch of you Yellow MC/MCS owners....
ps: Not sure why but a British journal rated the yellow specifically to be of the lowest resale value by about 1000 British pounds. Seems curious that yellow would be singled out.

I'm replacing a black Jeep Wrangler with a LY MINI, so it's gonna look cleaner anyway, especially since I don't plan on driving it through every mucky hole that I see like I did in the Jeep. Plus the fact that it actually fits in the garage with our other car. I don't have it yet, though, so I guess I really can't answer your question myself. I CAN tell you that it's more likely to fit in a small garage???!?!

Hello
First I am not so keen with the LY but my wife persuaded me to get it. She said it's a safety issue too---you can be easily seen (esp. when you are in a large parking lot). It's not hard to maintain-even if you do not clean it from far distance,it looks clean.
If you match it with black roof---the car will looks sharp because it blends properly with the black wheel arches and side skirt.
