Where to remove decals?

So I am sort of re-doing the front end of my mini with some money I've made working over the summer. I have a pure silver mini cooper s 2005, black tinted windows, black rims. I ordered the black mesh m7 grill for the upper/middle front end. I am also planning on getting a carbon fiber hood scoop. I have some black stripes running across the hood, and am thinking that I want to remove those and leave the hood without decals. (I wouldnt want to clutter the front end too much, I'm thinking it will look cool enough with a new grill and a darker hood scoop).

Now my question is where do I get the decals removed? I would assume the mini dealer?.. is it free?

Another question: Since the headlight rings are chrome, it sort of clashes with the planned carbon fiber hood scoop. What would you guys suggest I do? I really dont have the money to shell out 150 bucks for the carbon fiber headlight rings. Maybe I could get black ones from the mini dealer? How much would those cost? Would it look good? Or maybe I should get the pure silver ones?

I am really new to this whole car modding community (I am only 17 years old..) so any help is appreciated . Thanks!

Peel up edge of stripe. Pull. Wash and polish. Voila.

Heat helps to remove them. Leave it out in the sun for a couple of hours, then peel them off. If you get any left over sticker residue, 3M makes a great solvent that you can safely use on automotive paint. If you can't find that, I would use rubbing alchol.

Another idea for removing the left over adhesive is GooGone. Soak a paper towel with it and let it soak on the adhesive for several minutes. The adhesive will start to dissolve and ball up.

^^ make sure you don't rub the paint with paper towel. it will swirl.

thanks for the advice guys.. just went down and took off the decals in about 10 minutes (most of hte time was spent quickly cleaning the hood to make small stains go away).

awesome..!! I also called M7 and a really nice guy told me I should expect my grill to ship around tuesday. Now just to wait for a CF hood scoop to fall into my lap..

Since its CF, it shouldn't hurt too much!

Make sure you post pics! We're all suckers for pics!

Just to give you an idea, no need to change the headlight rings ...
