Stupid Question On A Thingy

I love tinted windows but I won't get them-I think they attract cops. But I want something on the top of my windshield with something written on it, maybe ... Cooper . . . Are there stickers made like this or they some kind of tint?

You can get a black sticker (about 6" wide) on top of your windshield and get another sticker over it with whatever you want to write.

Any stickers stores should be able to do this for you...

ittybitty, if you look through the Galleries here on NAM, you'll see a number of MINIs with cool graphics at the top of their windshields. Many of them are promoting various tuners, but some, like "Dragonslayer," are for enthusiasts who are fans of particular meets, or who put their club names on the windshields.

If you go to CooperFlags.com or AesthetiCreations.com, both NAM vendors, they may have some designs for windshield decals. If not, I'm sure either would be happy to work with you on a custom design for your MINI.

Tinted windows are only cop-magnets if they are limo-tinted...at least that is true here in SoCal, where it is illegal.

Good luck with your search and post pix when you get your graphics!

There is one for sale on mini mania, go there. It says COOPER. But I think its lame, because its completely obvous what you drive. You dont deen a sticker to tell people. But if you like it, then go there.

A Mini is so distinct a car...that stating it over your windshield would be like overkill...stating the obvious. Go for the tinted windows.

Depending on your state of course, there are different shades of tint you can put on your windows. As long as you don't go too dark you should be ok. (I wouldn't recommend Limo black that'd probably be illegal.) You could ask any tint company what shades are legal-they should know so you don't go too dark and get in trouble by the police. Hope that helps.

Yeah someone here posted the various states in the country and the degree to which they allow window tinting (in percentages)... Not for me.
