I've read some threads in the past mentioning some MINIs interior paint scratching off the door and such. I was wondering what color interior were they scratching from, anthracite or silver or both?

The areas effected are small. The silver paint on the door pulls and the silver paint on the two bars that look like they support the center stack. It is rather annoying. The paint looks like model paint. I was thinking of seeing if I couldn't get the parts chromed. I think you can get plastic parts chromed. It's not too bad looking right now on my car but I coold see it looking bad in a year or so. I don't wear any rings or have long nails or anything so the wear isn't bad on mine. I could see it being worse for others.

Are they like scuff marks are actual paint coming off? I know some cars the paint can leave a scuff mark. I tried scratching it off at a dealer ship and it seemed fine. However, will the dealer repair this problem?

Personally I've only had a few scuff marks though I have seen some pictures were you can see right through to the white plastic. As for if your dealer will fix it or not, I don't know. I guess it would depend on how good your dealer is at satisfying the customer. They may just see it as normal wear or they may see it as a fault. I think my dealer would do something if I made a stink about it, but I've heard some stories from SoCal that leaves me wondering if anyone there knows what repeat and refural bussiness is.

Does anyone know if the aftermarket dash applique kits include the pillar posts?

Problem is, those parts of the car arent clear coated like the rest of the dash. Spilled some coffee and the paint came right off.

What color is your interior? I'm wondering if it's certain colors.

the only interior problem ive had is my own fault, but its the silver ring around the mini logo on the steering wheel. that damn club! its small but it really bothers me. i havent had any problem with paint chipping off the doors, that is odd.

$450 later it looks fantastic. but that was out of my pocket
i have little dents all over that silver ring cause of the club! im so paranoid though! i have to do it!
my last car was stolen.
have you fixed it? ive been meaning to ask for silver interior paint from the dealer or something but i can never remember. one of my friends just told me to get silver nail polish, but that just has bad written all over it, in my opinion.

I'm not going to fix it..if it gets any
worse that piece probably pops out
and can be replaced.
The Club rules!
Also with the Club the best way to put
it on is with the lock facing the dash..
the lock can't be drilled out that way.
Out of pocket...ouch...
