MINI names?

I am starting to sense that MINI owners name their cars....where do you get your inspiration?

Check out these threads,

Are you trying to come up with a name? If so, tell us a bit about your MINI, specs and the like. Maybe a bit about yourself, where you live, what you do, whatever.
Hope this helps,
Annette

Mine is named Logan. Two inspirations:

1) I'm a bit obsessed with Wolverine in X-Men, whose "real" name is Logan. He's sexy, he's badass, he doesn't take any $#%@ from anyone, and I wouldn't mind riding...oh, wait...this is supposed to be PG13, isn't it?

2) Some symbolism I really like from the movie Logan's Run.

I thought about Bluezebub (Bub for short), but it felt too complicated! I don't get to meet Logan for another week, though, so he might tell me I've gotten his name all wrong...

i got my inspiration from the movie the love bug, i personally didnt name my mini becuase its a mini, i named it becuase its a car. evern since i watched the love bug and i watched buddy hacket name that 63 VW beetle (or the little car as they call it int he movie) herbie, i knew i needed to name any car i would get.

you learn to love your car and a name just gives that much more of a personal touch between you and the car, personally though unlike the love bug i believe all cars are female and likewise would only name cars a female name

we have an alfa romeo named Charlotte (like the spider from charlotte's web). I am sure we'll come up with a name once we get to know her - we'll be picking her up tonight!

Mine is named Fiona Shaniqua.....Fiona because it's British; Shaniqua because it's black. It's quite the saucy minx! I just got mine July 22th. I thought all week long for the perfect name.

Before I bought my MINI I was always under the belief that most cars should have female names. But after driving around for a few days and trying to think up a name for my car, I couldn't help but conclude my MINI was male. So I thought it would be fitting that he have a British name, and "Winston" just kind of stuck. His motto is, "smaller is freer."

But, its not just a MINI thing. Although I think MINI owners are more likely to name their car. It always helps when you're not driving just any old car. I can't imagine too many Toyota Camry owners give their cars names...

I call mine Zazou, after a little cat I had a few years ago who died of a bad infection.

he was always full of energy and tearing around the house at full speed. He used to love running up the stairs from the basement, but insted of turning the corner, he would run up the side of the wall to "bank" around the corner instead. he would even pick on other cats 3 times his size.

As you can see by the sig, our Mini is named "Bob" (based on the Bob character in Blackadder, it may be a 'male' name, but the car is 'female'). Why? Because it's short and sweet just like the car.

Okay, we've narrowed it down to 2 names. Nigel (such a british name) or Flo (my mantra is 'go with the flow' but my husband always says to me "Flo's driving - you better go with her"). I just can't decide if the car is a girl or a boy, though. It is so modified - so crazy powerful for a little MINI that I'm thinking it must be a boy. We'll have to think more on this one.
