In CA, the enforcement varies from county to county... I can tell you from experience that city of LA is vicious about no front plate... it's like the meter maids have NFLP radars or something... We have a Miata too and having one on the front just looks wrong on the car (it's never been mounted & to be honest I'm not sure I know where that plate is at this point...).

We know that if we have to park the car on the street in city of Los Angeles we will be donating $25 to help make the city more beautiful... hahahaha
Just doing our part to help make the city better!

How about a short piece of fashionable silver chain and hang the plate from your rear view mirror? You COULD start a new trend!!

My hope is that if I ever get pulled over, I will tell the cop it is the same plate # and hopefully he will understand. We'll see how that goes.

As for putting on my front Euro plate... I will put it front center of the bumper where it's supposed to go. I will mount it with 3m double sided tape. I have done this in the past with good results. Can be removed with no paint damage and is quite strong, as long as the bumper is clean when you mount it.

BTW here is a cool place to get euro plates: http://www.customeuropeanplates.com/...atecreator.php
zei only have ze Germans änd old european ones though

In tx your suppose to have both plates but when I bought the car it didn't have a front bracket and still had the dimples in the bumper I'm assuming it never had a front plate so I left it alone I don't have one to this day going on 4 years nobody has said anything about it Plus I recently got my euro style state plate for the rear with no spaces .same numbers and letters matching registration

I just got my car registered a few weeks ago and my custom plates about 2 weeks ago now. I got 'COOPIN' as my license plate. And even though there are 2 holes in the front of my car for a license plate, I refuse to put one up there.
