rear fog light not just for fog...

...or for filling up the toggle switches.

In the six weeks or so that I've had my MCS, twice I've been on the highway during a very heavy rainfall. In these conditions, it can be difficult to see the regular tail lights on other cars...even when they are only a few car lengths in front. I ran both the front and rear fogs so other motorists could see (and avoid hitting) my nice new car. The rear fog also has come in handy for keeping aggressive tail-gating NJ drivers off my rear bumper. Money well spent!

I have the Nav and it did cost a lot of money. But I would have rather paid that money than have the speedo in the middle or the chrono package.

I like to have the speedo in front of me, and the chrono package just doesn't look good.

Besides, I do like the integration of the Nav in the dash. It all came down to convenience and cosmetics for me. To each his/her own.

The OEM Nav does mute the stereo while giving directions. It can be annoying if you're singing along and your accompiament disappears! However, you can set the route, it maps it out for you, and then you "stop navigation". It will hold your route (and re-route if necessary) but stop interfering with your stereo.

Does your built-in NAV mute the stereo when it announces an upcoming turn by chance? ?

I have found that I really love this in a GPS NAV system. And as far as I know, none of the after-market units that move from car-to-car have this feature, do they?
Yes even my five year old garmin sp111 does that
