Scraped Front Spoiler

Just slightly rested the front of our MCS yesterday on a too-tall curb. It scraped the black plastic spoiler and left a couple-foot long mark. Anything I can use to smooth it and then I can treat with peanut oil or a plastic treatment product?

Thanks!

If it annoys you too much, you can always buy a brand new replacement part for that area. The exterior plastic bits are fairly inexpensive and easy to replace.

I replaced mine a long time ago and I think it was about $38 for that center piece.

Thanks for all responses.

$38 isn't much for sure...but is this the dam under the front, or is this the black plastic just below the lower grill? It is the black plastic just below the lower grill that I damaged.

Each time I go down my driveway, the spoiler scrapes, no matter how slow I go. If I go even normal speed, the part that you where talking about, the black plastic just below the lower grill, that gets scraped.

Yes it is the black plastic " spoiler " below your lower grill .

Hey dude wondering if you can help... I was going through some old posts as I scraped up my stock front lip spoiler and want to replace - came across this thread. Looks like you replaced as well? I have an '04 r53. Can you lemme know how you removed/installed? Do I need to remove the whole bumper? Do I need to purchase any special clips or tools to do it? Thanks so much!

It was quite awhile ago but I think I just jacked the car up and went at it with basic tools , screw driver I beleive . Once you get the car in the air it should be clear what it's going to take . If you look at other minis I think you will find they are almost always scraped up in some way.
