Well I've been dropping hints here and there, so I felt it was time to make an announcement.

I am now an official member of MINI-Madness!!

We've got some really amazing stuff coming soon that I can't wait to tell you all about. Let's just say that the power mongers will be intreged and the carbon fiber people will be elated. Stay tuned, more to follow.

Congrats Ry!

Once I get my MINI (damn it's getting close!) I will be calling for some upgrades.

Ryan your subject line made me think "I've been mad for years and it's a wonderful place to be".....

Congrats on joining the MINI Madness team!

My only request from MINI is the Chrome Grills for the MCS in the USA. I find it difficult to understand how something can be an option in Europe and not in the USA. and I don't mean the items not in the USA because of our safety laws. I am interested in the cosmetic options like grills, leather seats, etc...IF the part is available to order by some dealers it should be available to all dealers.

Yes, cosmetic options are fluff - so here's more fluff!

Congrats, Ryan!!! Boy are they lucky to have you!!!

I have another product design request. I want a telescoping sun-visor, so when you swing it to the side windows, it could extend once to cover the first 2/3 or so of the window and a second time to cover the whole window. I was driving North yesterday during sunset (East coast) and had to keep my left hand up as a blinder, despite having sunglasses on. I could care less about the illuminated mirror in the visor, so even a replacement without it would be fine. I was even wondering if a tinted plexi-glass visor might work, cutting down the sun glare without blocking your view totally. Whatcha think??

Yes! I can't believe no one has offered this yet. I think they'd be guaranteed 1000 orders right off the bat. Who DOESN'T wish this existed every time the sun makes a visit to the driver's side of the car at sunsrise/sunset? Price it under $30, and it's gold.

Another thing I've e-mailed a few aftermarket sites about - I think there would be a huge amount of interest in color-matching parts to replace or clip onto the "down tubes" on either side of the stereo/AC controls. I'd love to make mine chili red, and painting seems scratch-risky.

Congratulations, Ryan! It's almost as cool as being a roadie for Metallica!

I've thought of this as well since I drive N/S on the I-17 for my daily commute here in PHX (Valley of the Sun). Then I remembered the head-liner airbag. If the airbag were to deploy, you'd get a face full of sun visor. Not a good thing.

Good point!! However, I would be willing to take my chances for this not-likely-to-happen situation in exchange for a solution to side sun-glare that could impare my vision enough to create or make it harder to avoid an accident.
