#639 is for sale at Pearson Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Richmond, VA where I traded it in on an '09 JCW. They stripped off all of the decals and put white stripes on the hood and then advertised it as a MC40.

#833 checking in from Mandeville, Louisiana. Just bought her a couple of days ago. My previous car was a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8l Track that I pinched between two trees and totalled. I'm not happy about it, however, it did lead me to this Mini that I love very much. I guess thats an optimistic way to look at it.

Just purchased #520 from the original owner in Portland, OR Bone stock, pristine, and only 30K miles. This is my second time to the rodeo as I owned #978 in 2008. I've regretted selling her ever sense................

Not a GP but much cheaper and hopefully a collector item in the future.

Just bought mine 2 months ago off auto trader! i found it in New Mexico and had it shipped up to Salt Lake City, Ut. The chrysler dealership where it was had no idea what they had on their lot so i got a great deal on it and am loving it, mc40 with the JCW, all the stickers have been removed. And i do not know the number, does anyone know if you are able to call MINI and have them look up the number by its VIN or anything? cause i would love to find out and order a plaque if possible.

Fun. I forgot to send the door numbers with when I sold the car. If you pay shipping, I will send them to you.

...and it should have had the plaque with it...just that the sticky back was worn out....

I got mine (also with the JCW package and not just the dash cover ) for $12k after taxes. Has 80k miles but looks and drives like new. Aside from the JCW kit, everything else was stock. Love the car!

Test Drove The MC40
Hey clubbers,

Finally got a chance to rip around in the MINI MC 40 with the JCW.
It has all of the badging. little less than 30K Miles.
It was kept in the sun for some of those miles so the red rally badges were pretty worn as well as the Black 33 EJB.

He had the JWC docs and all also.
I thought it was going to be cleaner, but it was a daily driver.
It ran through the gears really good.
The engine ran very smooth for a 4 banger and was very willing to reach the red line. I think I'm going to make an offer. After seeing what's on the net, it looks like 16.5k.
Scratches on the inside.
What say yee?

Cheers,

Bill

30k and all the badges. nice! you still talk him down 1-2k but 15k is a good middle point.

Well I sent the last 6 digits of my VIN to a friend of mine who I found out works at the MINI, but he said he was not able to find out which number my car was, so are there any more suggestions on how to find out?

MC 40 Shift ****???
The shift ****.

When you purchase the OE MC 40, does it come with the this? See attached.

When I test drove the MC 40 it didn't have it. It had an aluminum one with the 6 gear pattern.

How much are these if it needs replacing to make it totally stock?
Or is it a big deal?

Cheers,

Bill

Decals important??
Hey MC40 Minds,

I was wondering does taking off the decals because they are faded reduce the value of the mc40?

Or should I keep them on and buy a second set of remakes.
Or just replace them?

I saw the them on the site that makes the badge.

Are these legitimate copies?

Cheers.

Bill

Dented Hatch under plate :(
Here's the deal. Went to close the deal on the New to me Mini MC40 and the owner said his wife backed into another car.
It creased it right at the bottom and even pushed in under the panel.
Paint removed also.

This isn't looking so good.

I'm going to make another offer. I think.
We were at 17500 with the chipped windshield fixed.
I'm just thinking 16500 and just let me take care of it.

I noticed the xenon's dimming on the right side after/during a turn.
Is this about time for new ones? 28000 miles.

Cheers,

Bill
