I know this sounds really stupid, but ive been able to track my mini through the entire process and now Im not. I feel lost. Ive been usin ais to track the freedom as it has traversed the U.S cost, but now it has dissapeared in baltimore, and the ww schedule shows it stopping there twice in a row. Any info on what is up with the freedom would be greatly appreciated.(ive even tried calling the port)

 

Call either your dealership or AskMINI (1-866-275-6464) either one should be able to track it from the port to the next step to clean it up before it goes to your dealership.

The ships aren't always visible on the maps, I wouldn't worry about it. With our 04 I was able to track the ship almost daily, while with our 06 most days I couldn't find it.

Be glad that you have even that much information!! Here in Holland, I had to call my dealer, who had to call BMW Germany, to find out that the car might still be two weeks away!!! Though this is the only Mini ownership experience I have (and its not good), I was looking forward to the anticipation of trackin Maggy across the pond. Good luck! Cheers!

 

Great news! The freedom has left Baltimore! Now the only problem is that on the ww website, it is scheduled to stop in baltimore twice. You guys got any info on that?

 

You are lucky that you have been able to track the ship as far as you have. I lost mine half way accross the pond.

Once the MINI gets to VPC, you get your last update, untill you get the call from your MA.

They need to put GPS on the trucks that carry the cars from VPC to the dealer.

They probably have GPS on the trucks, but who knows where to get the info from?

That's probably because they had to move yours off the ship to get some others off that were staying in Baltimore, then forgot to put yours back on, so they had to go back and get it! Just kidding!

Was the ship originally delayed in leaving Southampton or for weather somewhere along the way? If that is the case, maybe the timeline changed and when they updated to the new arrival date, they forgot to remove the old one?
