R50/53 Double clutching and a new clutch

It's much easier on the MINI to just roll the outer edge of the ball of your foot onto the gas pedal. It's not perfect technique but you just don't get the control if you use your heel. And I definitely agree the drive by wire throttle is a pain.

You know, the real problem with double-clutching is that the rpms drop too fast between gears. You have to be very, very quick with your feet. It's also very hard to do it quitely because to do it quickly one has to slam the clutch pedal against the "firewall."
