Ok, so I got tired of reading how everyone just came back from their 5th test drive. So I went back to my dealer for my second test drive of a MCS but this time I took my wife along with my son (last time I just had my son with me). Well I'm glad - she really liked the car. Thinks the leatherette is too hard but that's ok, a few weeks ago I already switched to the Lapis Blue leather.

About the test drive, the MCS was noticeably slower today. It was 95 degrees and we had the air on full blast with 3 passengers. So I guess this was as slow as the car can get. Not bad considering that. We also brought along our own CD so I could test the MINI stereo. Not bad - nothing great, but really, not bad. Plus with the sunroof and all the options I got plus the cool exhaust/supercharger whine, I'm getting this feeling that blasting music won't be that important to me. So I cancelled the HK stereo so my car will be built in Sept. In fact, I'll get my production number/date this week. Geez, now I'm REALLY excitied. This is going to be hell!

 

My wife is going to divorce me because of the Mini... I can see it now! I spend all my time driving it/ cleaning it... Well, what can you do... She kept telling me to find a hobby!

I would but every time I accelerate too fast, or start driving on the twisties out here in Buxton, and Gorham, she starts screaming! I don't know what happened to her! She used to LOVE driving fast! Heck, she wanted to be a race car driver! I gues she'll just have to deal with it!
