R50/53 MCS & Snow Cables
MCS & Snow Cables
Are cables a problem w MCS? Headed up to the Sierras this weekend and gotta get some. Doesn't seem to be enough room between the front strut
& tire for the cable to rotate past. Maybe just enough tho........I don't know.
Anyone else out there using them? Thanks

I'm getting them for next winter: a year without Kirkwood has been horrible!

Where ya going? The roads have been fine, and its going to be a warm weekend with no chance for snow. 60 - 80 degree temps, depending on where you are going.
I have cables, they fit/ clear everything, but have yet to use them, even in 5" of snow.

MCS Sierras No Cables
Mini manual says to run cables on different tires (175-60-16) thats why most snow/ice drivers have separate sets of tires & wheels. It has been nice up there and cables "probably" won't be needed. I am headed to Mammoth so won't wind up in the snow too much anyway (I well take the shuttle to the mountain). One just never knows. Gonna go fishing too. Has anyone else out there run 'cables' on 195-55-16 ?
