Problems getting into 2nd gear...

I purchased a MCS w/ 16,000 miles on it a month ago and it has a few mods (Pulleys, Intake, Headers, One Ball, Helix Short shifter).

I'm having problems getting into 2nd gear when accelerating at wide open full throttle. It doesn't go in at all until the revs decrease by a lot. This problem doesn't happen when I'm driving normally. Even when I rev up to 5K RPMs.

For example, everytime I go decide to leave a light at wide open throttle, I get to 6500RPMs and I shift and it doesn't go into 2nd gear. I try several times and nothing. I have to wait until the car decreases revs a lot in order to get into it.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of this problem or has a solution.

With the syncro on 2nd, he shouldn't have to double clutch. How does engine oil affect this?

The service indicator shows that I still have over 8K miles left before I need to go in and the oil levesl should be fine.

The engine oil level shouldn't have anything to do with it...it'd be the transmission fluid. How low do the rpm's have to drop before you can grab the next gear? Remember the higher you rev, the higher the rpm difference will be between gears. A 1-2 shift at 3k rpm might drop ~700 rpm but at 6k rpm, the difference is ~2k rpm. The syncro has to pick up the slack which is why it's hard to do a fast shift. Combine that with the fact that the MCS' flywheel is very heavy and you get a slow time-to-syncro.

Honestly, there's nothing much you can do about it short of getting a lightweight flywheel and/or aftermarket software. I feel the same way as I like to wait for the gears to sync before I shift. Sometimes, it feels like an eternity,
