R50/53 HELP!! BONNET STRIPES

ok.. im in the processs of putting on the bonnet stripes, put one on, and there are so many tiny bubble and we are trying everything to get them out but nothing is working!! what should i do?
ive been using a credit card to try to smooth them out but they're not going anywhere. if i took the stripe off would it be reusable? or would i have to order another pair!? this sucks so much! can anyone help???

Sorry to hear about the problems with your stripes. Did you lubricate the bonnet with a mild soapy solution before applying the stripe? If so, make sure you squeegee out all of the water, which it sounds like you have done using the credit card.

You might want to try a hair dryer on the stripe. Heat it up, then work from the middle to the edges with your squeegee. If that doesn't remove the bubbles and they are very small, you could try leaving the stripe on for a day or so and see if they go away on their own. Let the sun do its magic. If that doesn't solve the problem, use the hair dryer again to help remove the stripes.

I've installed stripes twice and a Union Jack decal once. Just spray the bonnet with water, then with windex, and place the decal down and position it. hold it firmly in place, and squeegee the center first, working your way to the ends. The compound curves will make things diffucult - I just used a towel and held my hand over it for a minute or two. Just keep squeeging until all the bubbles are out. Some will remain - tiny specs of dirt.
