I was sitting in my office MMOB when fair haired chick I didn't know pops her head in the door with one of my office mates who introduces her. She saw the MINI (parked in Space #1) and wanted to meet the owner.

First thing she asks is "Where do you plug it in at night?"

I'm used to the teasing about JoeGreen's size and 'look' so the comment didn't surprize me. I looked at her and laughed. Then I could tell she was serious ...
So, I told her it was a real car (not that electrics aren't). She was just sure it was electric.

Needless to say it took awhile to explain MINI, BMW, Classic Cooper, etc.

Yesterday, the lady at the bank thought it was a new VW product ..

Fun, fun, fun,,,,, I'm off to the Chicago Spring drive w/ my new CyberShot U20 ... pix when I return on Sunday ..

My next door neighbor asked me if my mini was electric when I first got it. For some strange reason people ask me if my mini is electric when I'm at the gas station even when Im pumping gas!

...so if they ask "where do you plug it in?" here's your response:

"...into the gas pump! [you dum&*****]"

That's really funny Rfibanez that people are that stupid to ask you if it's electric at a Gas Station (arggggg!) I can picture it now; next they'll ask what kind of mileage this "electric" get's LOL

whew, that was entertaining!

... sounds like kind of a personal question from someone you just met ...

... maybe this goes in that other 'pick-up line' sub-thread ...

Ahh. the strange comments i've recieved over the years.. (ok, it's only been 7 months..)..

"Is that made in South Granada?"
"Is it a hybrid?"
"Is that a Beatle?"
"Is that a convertable Beatle?"
"How does it handle in the winter?" [question asked in early october]
-Not quite sure yet, they are still pretty new...
"Didn't they come out in the 60's?"
-Not this model...

(I'm still wondering about the South Granada one...)
