Let me know what you think of my MINI's new smile. As far as I can tell, nobody else has done this yet.




I've been wanting the slightly more business-like look of the aero smile, but I love the stock front end of the MC, so I had a body shop custom fit the bottom aero grill piece to give MINI his black smile. The top grill piece goes in w/ no modification. I haven't decided about the bottom radiator grill yet. What do you guys think? I'm liking the silver look, but I could see it being black as well. l'd buy another radiator cover for a bit over $20 dollars and get it powder coated and installed, but that's pretty spendy. The work I had done so far wasn't cheap, but the shop does all the dealership's MINI and BMW work, and they did a nice job w/ the tough custom fit. Now I have the smile I want on the front end I love

Looks kind of cool with your color. Kind of Maserati-ish. I had thought of doing this with my black mini, but I can see now where it would look wrong with my color - The front end would just disappear.

Looks pretty good! You should go get the black bumperettes to match the grille - they're available on 2003 Minis, and I'm sure you can get 'em from the parts dept. for next to nothing.

 

 

hehe my MC arrives soon, it is also silver and i've ordered the aero kit with it. The dealer had a few there with the kit, and I liked the aggresive look it gave...
