Hazy Hatch Glass

Okay maybe this is a common thing but I did a search and didn't see anything....

I've noticed the past couple of months that while driving, when I look in the mirror I see this hazy/foggy grid pattern of tiny squares all over the back glass. At many angles it's so bad I can barely see through. It's all over the glass, perfectly spaced, so I don't know if it's the defroster or what, but it's not fog because it shows up regardless of temperature and I have polished both the inside and outside of the glass and it was no different. I know it hasn't been this way the whole time and it sure is annoying. Anybody else had this or know what it is? (I can't get it to show up in a pic)

That's the plastic sandwiched between the layers of glass to make it safety
glass. Take off your polarized sunglasses and you won't see it.

Yeah my REVO sunglasses make me feel like I am on drugs whan I look through the back glass (& the sides a bit too). I tried cleaning & polishing them up a storm before I realized it was my sunglasses

It's also hard to see my clock because it is orange & at an angle & that's one of the colors my sunglasses attempt to filter out

It's not the color, it's the fact that the glass in the clock, on the radio, etc is
also polarized. Don't believe me, just tilt your head to alter the alignment
between the lines of polarization in the glass and your glasses. The display
will either get darker or brighter, depending on which way you tilt your head.

I dunno. I can barely see the orange temperature gauge on my tach, it is light but I can see it. No matter how I tilt my head I can't make out the clock on the speedo. The only way I can see the clock is to raise my sunglasses up. REVO sunglasses have all these color & light filters I don't understand but I love them because they manage to dim the sun without actually changing the color of everything or darkening it. Obviously they do something to the orange color field but everything around me appears fairly normal looking without the sun blinding me.

Yea that is an odd effect. My Maui-Jims are worse than my Oaklies, but I love the polarized lenses anyway.
