Hi all, this is my first post!! I'm from the UK, and i ordered my MC a few weeks ago!!! Expected delivery date is 24th March. I guess we don't have to wait quite as long as most of u guys across the Atlantic =]

anyway i've been reading the forums for a bit now, and decided to join in. i'm always reading about little problems people are having, which is kinda depressing while some of us wait for our mini's...

so i thought instead people might want to talk about some of the great drives or stories they may have had in their mini's... :smile:

 

Hey welcome aboard! In the mid-atlantic area we've had a bunch of great meets and drives (my personal fave being the one in Lancaster County PA....the roads were SO FUN! And I LOVE covered bridges!!!!) Too many good times to name!

You are going to have so much fun with your new car...my MINI is the coolest and best thing I have ever bought for myself. Hope you have a blast!

A mini story... Hmmmm....
There are many. I don't know if you car will attract the same amount of attention over there that we get here. In my area around Niagara Falls, NY there only 2 other minis, so when Smiley goes out motoring she always being checked out by someone. (the curse of being cute and a blond).
The latest one happened this weekend. I was waiting for Laurie to finish up work, sitting in the parking lot reading a mag. All of the sudden some one is pounding on my window. I look up and this guy says "Holly s&%# where did you find one of these!!". I opened the door and had a chat with him about the car. He said that he used to drive an original mini back in Germany in the early 70's. After looking her over he said thanks for the look and left. About 20 minutes later he was back pounding on my window again. He just couldn't believe his eyes and needed another look. I thought with someone that happy to see Smiley what else could I do but invite him in and go for a ride. After a short trip around the block I let him out and he thanked me, asked me where he could get one and said "I'll order one in the morning" Another new motorer. Btw he was driving a late 70’s Coupe Deville
