Clearbra haze?

So I walked out to my car today and my first thought was that someone had hit the front of my car.

Upon closer inspection, I can't find any dents or scratches but the clearbra on the front has developed some "haze" in spots.

I sort of suspect that someone did nudge the front of my car with their bumper (I was parallel parked last night), not enough to do any damage but enough to maybe nudge the clearbra. That's just a guess. Depending on how the light hits it, it either looks terrible or you can't see it at all. Whatever it is, it's done to the material of the clearbra -- it doesn't wipe off.

Anyone have any experience with something like this? The clearbra was installed by the dealer one year ago, I guess I need to check the warrenty on that. Think this is something that would be covered, to redo the clearbra?

I have a feeling it would be an insurance issue if it was certain that someone had hit my car to cause this problem, but from eyeballing it and running my hands around the front of the car, I can't find any dents whatsoever so I have no particular reason to think that this isn't just a defect with the clearbra itself.

I don't think there's any chance that the "hazing" that you see was caused by any impact. I watched the guys install mine and the compound curves on the hood of the MINI are amongst the hardest in the industry to work around. I think it's entirely possible that the adhesive has failed in places, or that some impurities got under the the film during installation. I noticed a couple of small flaws in mine a few days after the install but nothing I can't live with. I am kind of surprised to hear it just becoming apparent a year later. If you've got a guarantee have it redone. I don't see Clearbra as permanent anyway. It's meant to be a barrier against more serious damage and to keep IT looking perfect, it will need to be replaced from time to time.
