Kenchan, I guess I wasn't clear on the subject, he actually bought his own car I just drove him down there to get it. And for him and the MINI he has driven one, not the JCW, he has wanted an Acura for several years no talking him out of it.

If you've shelled out obscene $$ for any JCW crap, then absolutely.

I don't understand why anyone hell bent on getting a Honda right now, would opt to get the Acura RSX over the new Civic Si?

To me the new '06 Civic Si is light years better than the RSX-S which is essentially based on the previous generation Honda Civic.

True, the Acura gives you better warranty (4 years vs 3 in the Honda) and perhaps better dealer treatment, but other than that, why get the RSX? I just don't understand.

Well I can certainly understand the JCW MCS being a bit of a jolt, Sandie, especially in juxtaposition to the Cooper you're (and I'm) used to driving. I've had the exact same experience myself on various occasions. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll adjust your driving style to match once you're in the driver's seat of your JCW permanently.

Then I guess I'm a proud member in good standing!

If the tax man comes out favorable this year, I'll be getting even more obscenely overpriced crap in the form of the brake kit, but Shhhhhh...don't tell anyone I plan to install it myself and I won't even charge myself any labor! Hopefully I'll get the suspension before the end of the year too!

I'm sure you'll adjust and love the car Sandie - great fun to look forward to huh?

I'm wondering about the car they let you test drive, do they have JCW demo cars now or was it a new car for sale. I hope its a car they have for demo specifically as I'd hate to think that a pre-sold car or one that will be sold as viginally new is being used as a demo mule (I'm not saying you abused it Sandie just that I know and have seen how often people, including MINI employees, thrash cars while testing them out, or just for fun...)
