British voice (male or female) for non nav MCS with bluetooth. Does anyone know if you can chang the voice, I saw where I can choose english (american), french, or spanish but not british english.

I would prefer a British female voice commands over an American female voice commands to stay in touch with the roots of the MINI.

 

I may be wrong, but I think the voice prompts you are hearing are a function of your phone, not the Bluetooth kit? If I'm right, you may have to change phones to get a British voice. Not sure... and like I said, I might be wrong!

 

I don't think that is the case since the voice is linked to the bluetooth in the car but I'll check and see if the phone is generatoring it. The commands are specific to the bluetooth in the car and not the phone. I would think if the voice files that are loaded into the system are more or less the same for the nav it would be realatively simple to change to another voice file for British english vice American english.

Still need help with this for a non-nav system on MINI. this is not a phone issue. The bluetooth capability is clearly a MINI install issue since the choices for languages are the same english (American), French, and Spanish. Is there a way to get a British voice on the prompts for a bluetooth phone for the MINI? Is the dealership the only place to get this done?
