Has anyone tried to find/install a sunroof deflector on their MINI? If so, what is your experience, and who makes one that will fit? One of the very few things I'd like to change about the car is the amount of noise when motoring at higher speed w/ the sunroof open.

 

The factory pop-pop deflector actually seems to work very well to move the airflow up and around the open roof. Try grabbing them and holding them down at speed and you will quickly see how efffective they actually are

However, no shield is going to completely cover up the fact that you have a big gaping hole in your roof. But if you find one, I would sure like to see a pic of one installed

 

Ventshade makes universal deflectors that stick on with double stick adhesive. Just measure the width of the opening and find the appropriate size. the adhesive is very strong and will not come unstuck as long as the mounting surface is clean.

 

Noise? What noise? What? I can't hear what your saying? The noise is only bad at speeds in excess of 90mph!
