This is true, but I have seen classic Minis painted with this (or a very similar) color scheme and it looked very nice. However, I've no argument with the PW/B sentiments expressed here...it looks great!

I don't usually jump in with a strong opinion. And nowhere, no time, is a strong opinion more irrelevent than when you're talking about color (it is subjective, folks).

I've seen two pepper white/black top MINIs and find them to be a giant yawn. The color was EXACTLY the same color of every apartment wall of every apartment I'd ever lived in. When I finally bought a house, I made sure not one wall remained white. In a world of colors, why on earth would anyone pick white??

There are more white cars than any other color on the roads today. The definition of white is "the absence of all color." ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

>>I am glad MINI got rid of it.

Now, now, let's not get personal about this- Although I am the VERY happy owner of a MINI in SG/B, I have to say that while I have never liked white cars, the Pepper White is a great color- it's got a lot of gray in it, I think that's what makes it work. In addition, PW/B is a classic Mini color combo. However, you are wrong about Silk Green- while not the same color, a light metallic green was a popular choice for the 1275 Mini. I'll have to find a photo or two to show you.

SILK GREEN is DEAD. LONG LIVE SILK GREEN!!!

Obviously color is a personal preference. As noted, there are plenty of MINI enthusiasts who enjoy the Pepper White, myself included. If you were referring to a bright white car, I would agree that to be a quite common and somewhat boring color. However, Pepper White is not a bright white. It's a very pretty cream colored MINI reminiscent of a classic MINI. Just my opinion as well as everyone elses' posts' here. Good luck Monster. Let us know what you choose.

>>Bo BOLD! Go with a color. Why be just another white car on the road. Make a commitment to pick a COLOR. Do your MINI justice!
>>

I disagree, Pepper White is actually not white at all, it's actually a vintage cream color, like the kind on a vintage Fender Strat guitar or classic British car such as an old Jag.
I think it draws more attention than any other color, considering there is no other new car in America available in this tone of "white".
It's just as much a "color" as chili red or indy blue.

This has to be the LAMEST argument to justify your color of choice. I think a visit to the eye doctor is in order...oh and while you are at it, make sure to pick up a good pair of prescription lenses.

Cooper4Us,

How is that "the LAMEST" arguement to justify my color of choice? I was saying why NOT to get PW. I gave several reasons, none of which are lame. It's boring in my opinion.

Why the need to get personal? This is a subjective arguement and one of opinion. I was just stating mine.

Pepper White/Pepper White i get more looks and positive comments as the color is exclusive to MC. You won't find it on any other car and you won't be disappointed. I have the sunroof and have tinted the windows, which give it a great contrast.
My vote is for Pepper White.

I get so many stares and positives compliments about our Pepper White/ Black roof Cooper...is simply amazing!

Pepper White boring? Ha! in your dreams.

I wish MINI offered Pepper White in the MCS!

And in case I am accused of being a "pale color" freak.....

I have a Chili Red/White top '03 MCS on order!

Oh well, I still have REAL white on that one!

>>Hating anything White is one thing but saying that the MINI looks "boring" in Pepper White is quite a long stretch.

I agree that PW can be a practical choice in a place like Florida (used to live there, so I know what you mean), and also agree that it ages better. With all the color choices, it still remains my least favorite. Of course the car looks classy; IT"S A COOPER, IT CAN'T HELP IT!

I was just foolin around on the MINIUSA site, Building my Own MINI when I realized that the Silk Green is not a color choice any longer. so unless the cars are already built, you may not be able to get a silk green one. and if you know of a silk green one at a dealer, you may want it because it's the last of what's been made.

Like Bob Wills said about investing money...
"Buy land, God isn't making any more of it"

>>Silk Green with white, are you kidding??? I'll be picking my baby up on Monday (SGW) and it is the most beautiful color I've seen yet in a MINI. It's a timeless and classy color, the white top giving it a retro feel. It's also the most unusual color out there, so if you like being different, then go for it. I am assuming, however, this is a car on a lot since they don't make them anymore.

>> we are with Needler on this one.... we have almost the same car!! all the colors are great, i think it depends on what area of the country you live in! we are Pac. Coasters and SG/W is it for us!!

The "definition" of white is the presence of ALL colors. Black is the absence of color.
If I could take back my color choice I would now get the Pepper White after seeing "Mrs. Peel."

Read my signature line and you'll see my vote, but that vote was just for me. You have to decide for yourself. I am 10 days from being introduced to my dear BVLGARI and, again for me, it will be true love. Make almost any choice, then ENJOY!!!!

after seeing both the pepper white with black top and black stripes and the silk green with white top and white stripes at the nj prestige mini scavenger hunt, i decided that im not a big fan of either after all... i think im gonna stick with indie blue with a white top and racing stripes..
