Ok here is the story, I'll make it brief

I got my MCS since November, and as I got back home with it, I found out the leather is wrinkled, therefore I called the dealer few days later and said the leather is wrinkled. The Mini dealer sent me to a BMW dealer for help, so I called and they said that they r very busy right now at changing winter tires, call back later. A month later (December), I called again, they told me to go there and take a picture for inspection. I took the picture, and they told me to wait for the answer, I called few times in January and they said they got no answer yet and I wasn't the only one. Then last week (yes it's February, I have been waiting for 3 months), I called them again and they said the dealer will not change my seats!!!!! What should I do or what can I do now?!?! I feel really lost now, I hope someone can help me.
I live in Montreal, any Mini owner in Montreal area with same problem?!?!

Any suggestion would be appreciated
Thank you in advance for any input

If you don't get any help at that dealership, go corporate. Go over their heads and be aggressive. Write an angry letter about the dealership to the corporate office and present it to the BMW dealership before you send it. See how they respond. Never apologize for being too aggressive  If you have documentation, use it. If you have any records of the wait they're giving you, use them. Fight back and they'll give you what you want just to get rid of you.

I had the same problem with my lapis blue leather seats. Actually, it was just a tiny patch of leather on my rear passenger bench that was wrinkled. I took it to the dealer here in Mexico and he ordered a whole new seat bench for me under warranty, no questions asked.
Keep fighting it..they should change it for you.

Totoro-

I'd go straight to MINIUSA, and explain your problems directly to them.
Hopefully they can do something for you.

Good luck-
Jim

Totoro lives in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, so he needs to call MINI Canada for further assistance with his leather seat problems.

I am glad to have opted for the standard Leatherette seats...haven't had any issues with them at all.

What do you mean "crinkled"? My rear leather seats are not tight on the seat. They are a bit loose in a few spots, but I don't really see a problem with that. I think it actually helps if someone sits in it. That way the leather is not torn at the seams. Maybe it was designed this way. My front seats are fine, and don't have this problem. I think it's just something with the rear.

No big deal to me.

It's going to be difficult since you didn't catch the wrinkle before you took delivery.

Leather naturally has inconsistencies and wrinkles. With normal wear, leather developes wrinkles as at it ages--it's the nature of the material. It will not be perfect.

We're not talking about normal variations in leather appearance..There have been several MINIs with clearly defective, severely wrinkled leather on sectons of their seats, and most of these have been replaced under warranty. There have been several threads on this in the past.
