You bet it's real...it's Miniman_a's car....
He has just successfully completed the East Coast Targa a month or so ago in it (East Coast of Australia that is, around Sydney and Bathurst)....
That's a New South Wales (incl. Sydney) numberplate by the way...

Yes...visually subtle.....
but
His is a JCW plus some other rally/race prep....a rollcage is about to go in, his back seats are removed and a spare wheel is strapped down in it's place....I wouldn't be surprised if the car became a dedicated track/rally mule in the near future...to make way for another mini of course!!

Is it an optical illusion or are Tit's wheels bigger diameter than the car behind (in post #110)? If not, then it seems as if painting the wheel well arches body color make the wheels look smaller. I prefer the look of the front car myself.
cheers.

Kalbone's car looks cool--except for the white roof, which I have never understood personally. Whatever, I love the inverse treatment with the white stripe on the dark silver and the dark stripe on the white roof--very graphic arts. How did you get so many DS/W minis in the same place, hanging out with a blue one...?
lookin' good,
cheers,

I like the look of the R90's....they do look bigger on miniman_a's car. I'm still working on what wheels to put on....the S-lites a doing a good job of keeping the chassis off the ground for now....
(by the way...how cool is this smiley:
)DS/W never seemed quite right to me either, but Kalbone's car looks cool with the White stripe down the front....
I've been dreaming of two black stripes just like Tuls' - angled inwards slightly, wider than normal (6inch) and rrrrright down to the bottom at both ends of the car.....not sure how it would look though...I've tried photochopping, but it always comes out looking strange.....
anyone want to have a go at photochopping for me...??
My try at it

Just trying to decide between a JCW bolt in, or get a custom welded in one.

Thanks for all the great pics guys and gals!
My little ds/ds car is still on the freakin' boat... I think they got lost or something. Originally it was supposed to dock yesterday, my MA says Friday and the Charleston web site says tomorrow. I'm getting bummed out man.
