R50/53 door ellipse rattle
I apologise if this has been covered in any of the previous rattle threads.
I had the internal door rattle and took it in to be fixed and in completely dissappeared. It was great...
Now, I noticed that the top portion of the ellipse on the door buzzes. In the past three months, I've tried several things. Most recently, I stuck a 1/2" section of wiper blade to act as a shim between the door panel and elipse to temporarily stop it. I'm not one to complain, but it is getting to me. Once I notice it, that's all I hear (over the radio)!
Any ideas how to fix it? How can I remove the ellipse? or tighten it so it is tight against the door panel (there is currently a small gap)? Add a gasket? Anything? Or is it just going to get looser/louder each time the door comes apart? Is this something I can fix so I don't have to bug the guys at the dealer?
