Not the Dragon but...

Mrs Flyinglemur and I drove from where we live to the nearest city (where the port/airport/malls are) yesterday with the top down. 45 miles, 191 curves and 3 traffic circles, all surrounded by the lush scenery of Northern Sardegna. On the way back we drove up the Emerald Coast (playground for lots of rich folks)...not as many curves but a nice view of the coast/Med.

Now its not the Amalfi coast but it is still worth the drive. More curves, less busses (at least this time of the year). And while it isn't the Dragon, there is the extra added bonus of not being in North Carolina .

Anyway if there are any Euro drivers in here I highly reccomend getting on a ferry to Olbia and checking Sardegna out, especially this time of year when the tourists are gone, the prices are lower but it is still good weather. The first Cafe is on me...

Yes but if you are in Europe.... There is no substitute for the Nurburg Ring!

Though your route sounds quite fun and you wouldn't have to pay per lap!

oh, Sardegna, the beloved beautiful city in Italy.. You bring tears to my eyes as I remember my trip there. I went in February of 2001, brought back with me some of the greatest memories ever.

I took the camera because there is one spot in particular that (I feel) would show just how great the road is, but I can never bring myself to stop

I guess that means that I have to go again. Damn.
