I just arrived home from my second visit with Eric at Helix. I had my first visit about a month ago and had the springs, sway bar and adjustable rear control arms done. There was an immediate improvement in handling, and no fighting against understeer on corners! I hung out at the shop and also got to meet Jamal, also a very nice guy.

My second visit was today, and I went the whole hog – 19% reduction pulley, JCW injectors, GIAC Flash, Milltek exhaust and Short shifter kit. I was there for the day, and another customer (Ralph) turned up from Upstate NY to pick up his Turbocharged MCS. As my car was there for the day, we ended up going down to Gino’s for a Cheese Steak, and then a quick tour for Ralph and his daughter, as they had not been into Philly before. We also stopped at a friend of Eric’s – Gabor, who restores Landrovers and sells Scooters (there’s a strange mixture!), who entertained us with Capuccino’s and great stories!! When we got back, I also had the pleasure of meeting Eric’s wife.

Anyhow, Eric finished up my car, and I just cannot believe the difference! The car is just INCREDIBLE! It sticks to the road and accelerates so smoothly through the entire rev range. I have to say that Eric and his team are an awesome group of people, who know what they are doing and are happy to tell you.

 

i agree, ive been there once (so far :smile they were great and relaxed and honest. they were very 'normal' (dont try to play with you or just get it done for $$) which is hard to find in this industry id say. the only place my mini will be tuned - besides my driveway
