I have gotten my MINI washed twice and it hasn't come off. I finally wiped it with a soft cloth after the second wash and it wiped off w/ little smudging. Had anyone else noticed this? It's a soft brown grease. It looks like it came from somewhere near the wheel well/ tire opening and, due to movement, it splashed the grease and slid it across the body of my car. Anyone? Anyone?

Protective greasing, to prevent rusting while your baby was at sea, the VPC must have not gotten it all.

Huh, I never thought of that. Where was it originally put? It wasn't on the body of my car when I picked it up. Maybe it migrated to the body due to driving, snow etc.?
P.S. thanks for the quick response!

If it's in a distinct spot, use No.7 Bug and Tar Remover, or WD40. Apply to cloth and wipe off the grease. Then rewax the area.

If it's all over the place, wash car with Dawn and then rewax.

My car is so covered with road grime from our winter weather that I'd feel fortunate to see grease smudges.

Comes with the season I guess...I saw a Black Cooper with White roof the other day which was so heavily salted that it looked like the whole front end of the car was painted to match the roof. Or at least I THINK that was paint on the roof...
