MCS color suggestions

I know color is a personal choice, but since I'm color blind, I thought I'll ask for assistance. I would also like to consider resale value when selecting color as well.

MCS will have the JCW Package.

Should I get the Checkmate Package with...

- Pepper White & Black Top
- Dark Silver & Silver Top
- Hyper Blue & Silver Top
- Space Blue & Silver Top

Or no Checkmate Package with...
- Chilli Red & White Top (English Panther Leather w/ sport seats)

Thanks.

No contest. CR/W

There are no other colors for true sporting cars other than Red, White, and Black ... yeah, yeah, I know there are other colors

Besides, red is always faster

Please excuse my ignorance, but I always thought that colour-blind people still saw colours, it was just that certain colours are hard to differentiate or look 'different' to them....

Why don't you get a combo that appeals to how you see it? Afterall, you don't have a colour combo there that looks bad....and you're the one that has to look at it the most....

However.....if it were my choice, I have an affinity to Hyper Blue, but I'd go a black roof...Pepper White would be my next choice..

There are varying degrees of color blindness. I see the world like you would see a black and white tv. I see varying shades of gray.

The problem is that all the colors I've listed appeal to me. Going with Mini tradition would be nice...and I guess I'll go with Red.

Mini discontinued the Liquid yellow on the Cooper S's...I guess that wasn't a selling color.

Thanks!

personally:
PW/B: nice classic look, but somehow just not my cup of tea
DS/S: blends in wayyy too well, you might as well go with DS/DS, it will not stand out
HB/S: it'd look okay i think, but HB seems to look better with the white or body color top
SB/S: very nice

CR/W: very common, personally if i went with red, i'd take it with a black top

CR/W

Classic/Racy color combo. Save the $420 that you otherwise would have to pay for metallic paint.

Yup...I'm thinking I'll save the $420 and put it towards the JCW shocks.

Did you get the CR dash? Or is that too much CR.

Excellent idea! The extra money saved can be better put to use towards performance enhancing mods.

I taught about it when I placed my order back in January, but in the end I stuck with what I had before (Anthracite dash) and personally prefer it to the CR dash trim. In 2005, the colored dash trim used to be a no cost option, but for 2006 MINI charges $200 to get it. Meanwhile, the Anthracite dash remains a $0 cost option

In my humble opinion, the Anthracite dash looks terrific and gives the car a sporty/business like ambience. If you like the chrome interior package, the Anthracite pieces would look terrific

Here is a pic of my interior (Click on my gallery for additional pics):

In my opinon, if you are wanting the Checkmate package, go with the

PW/B. I think that would look great plus you could enjoy it for what it is also.
Cheers and Happy motoring

We also have a PW/B Cooper and it has been a great color. Easy to maintain and turns heads believe it or not. Either way (CR or PW) you'll be saving the added fee for the metallic paint.

I have a PW/B MCSa and added black wheels to confirm my contrary taste. Since I got my car I decided I like MINIs in all colors.

This morning I attended a public meeting and our elected district official told me she bought a new MINI (she had heard about mine). After the event she showed it to me: MCSa with CR body and top, chrome trim, anthracite dash, black and tan seats, sunroof, navigation, sports suspension, xenons, S-lites. She still has her BMW5 but says she loves the MINI. It was unusually sunny today so the CR looked like a flame. Beautiful car. Beautiful person.

You might get CR and then add the checkerboard top afterword using vinyl.

The DS/S or the PW/B are the best colors to hide dirt

I'm partial to PW/B, but the red and black JCW that was in the showroom when I took delivery was very hot....that'd be my 2nd choice.

Ok, so I'm color-blind too but not to the level of seeing shades of grays, more towards "is that red or green?" and "my car's not purple! it's navy blue!". Needless to say, when I got my MCS I thought PW w/ B stripes and was the way to go. Why? Well, personally i think CR and BRG is way too common for the mini, blue was the color of my last car, and gun metal silver/ any type of silver looked like the popular color for 2003-04.

Besides, PW with Black bonnet stripes (and an aero kit with the black grills) just looks SOOOO freakin' sweet...

Placed my order!!

- Chilli Red with Black top and side mirrors
- Black Bonnet stripes
- JCW kit
- Sport package
- Antracite dash and headliner (per C4's recommendation )
- English Panther Leather with Vintage stitching (oh baby...that's hot...I'm scared to even fart on that )
- Rear fog lamp
- On-board computer
- Center Arm Rest
- Cup holder
- Auxillary Plug
- Silver R99 17" Wheels
- Bluetooth kit

- She's scheduled for a December build (November build if I'm lucky). ETA February or March 2006.

I'm calling her "MERB"...My Effin Red Beast

I tried a bunch of configurations. PW/B, CR/W. But then the CR/B came up, I knew it then and there. That's my baby!!!

My goal...to have the highest miles on my MCS
