I have a MCS on the water. Is there a way to track your Mini once it has been shipped? I think I remember reading somewhere on the forum that you could.

You need to become a member of the Can't Wait for February Club - come on over to our support group!

You can track your MINI by VIN number - this site was useful to me:
http://www.geocities.com/dsb106/boattrack.html

My car is on the Tai Shan and was loaded yesterday. Let us know which vessel your MINI's on.

I hope that helps!!

Goto this site and type in th last 7 digits of the vin into the cargo id number :

http://www.2wglobal.com/WEP/Toolbox/...goTracking.htm

That will give you the ship it is on and tha status of the cargo.

If you click on the voyage number it will give you where the ship is going and when it arives and departs from various ports.

Sorry about that - totally forgot you have to enter the last 6 digits of the VIN, such as TD0000.

THANKS! I found it! It's on the Carmen that sailed on the 18th and will arrive in NYC on the 28th. Much sooner than expected as it wasn't posted as "en route" untill today.

How long do they take to inspect and get it on a truck to the dealer?

MCS BRG/WHT/WHT 17" w/everything but GPS.

Time from reaching US soil to getting to you dealer can vary pretty widely, esp depending on whether there are any repairs to be done at the VPC, and how far the VPC is from your dealer. My car landed in Charleston on 12/14, was at the VPC by the 16th, left the VPC on the 19th and was at my dealer in Winston-Salem the evening of the 21st.

If your car is coming though NY you need to be patient. My car was offloaded last Friday from the AIDA, and has been sitting on the pier ever since, 7 days now. Hasn't even been checked into the VPC......
