Magnetic bonnet stripes

What are other's experience with magnetic stripes? Are they too thick and therefore noticable? I like the idea of being able to change stripes as my mood changes.

I used these on my MC I had. They were great and I cleaned and removed them everytime I washed the car. I also put extra wax under them to make sure they didn't scratch the car. You may notice after a while that the paint looks a little funny. But I think that happens with vinyl as well.

I don't think they were to thick and that noticable. When cut right they fit perfectly.

I've had them on my MCS for over a year with no problems. Save yourself some $$ and go to a sign store that sells magnetic signs and ask them to cut two 4" wide strips for you. My white stripes cost ~$10.00 and I highlighted the edges with pin striping tape I picked up at the auto store ($2.00)

Sorry - no way of posting pictures. I will say that they look very much like the tape stripes - many MINI owners are surprised when they find out they are magnetic. I think the key is to highlight the edges with pin stripes to get a finished look.
I will measure the exact length needed - I simply bought two 5 foot sections and trimmed the excess once I had them positioned exactly where I wanted them (4 inches is definitely the correct width). I rough cut them to size with scissors then carefully trimmed to an exact fit with a razor blade.
