IB/W or IB/B HELP please

I narrowed my selection down to either Indi Blue/Black or Indi Blue/White. I have pics of both but I'm still undecided.

The black roof scares me because of it's easy to scratch and the extra heat associated with the color black.

The white roof might stain and it could possibly start to oxidize later and give off that chalky white paint dust.

Then I'm trying to figure out if I should go with the MINI bonnet stripes or without. Or if I should just go for the Roque shadow stripes.

i say ib/b because thats what i have....... but have you considered ib/ib roof? they look ok..

 

I'm getting IB/W, but I totally see IB/B. It was a tough call for me, but I decided in the end that I liked the toy car look. I went with white wheels and white stripes to solidify the toy car look. Anyway, the IB/B is very regal looking. I don't think I'd get stripes with it, however. At least not the mini stripes. Maybe something like the CooperFlags stuff that is a little more full looking?

Can't go wrong. IB/IB would also be really nice looking. Trick it out with as many chrome things as you could.

BTW, anyone see a trim for the snout on the MCS? It seems that would look really slick in shiny chrome.

Go with black. I changed my mine 3 times before actually signing the order! Mine is MCS Chili/BK w/sunroof. The Black roof looks great w/the sunroof and the alloy finish wheels look great!!!!!!

I could never understand why someone doesn't know what they want from inside themselves. I believe this outside advice is just noise. Figure out what YOU like and " JUST DO IT"!!!!

I was asking for others opinions and insight. Maybe there are other angles I'm not seeing. That's the reason for the question. In the end it will be MY decision so I will as you say "JUST DO IT".

Sorry, didn't mean to p you off, but looks are such a personal thing. Now tech stuff...that's a different matter. Do it anyway, and good luck mechanically.

Just thought I should balance out the voting with one for the WHITE roof and mirrors.

For me, the black roof just doesn't work on the Mini. I think the main problem is that it has disturbing associations with all those black-vinyl "Landau" roofed american designs of the 70s and 80s. And remember the Volvo Bertone Coupe? Frightening stuff. :smile:

I have the IB/W MCS as well. Didn't order it but has grown on me and love it now. All mini colors are great but sorry non- IB/W owners , think IB/W are the best looking.

 

Ever consider IB/IB? Looks good! I love to make an already tough decision...tougher.

Yes, the decision is tricky - you'll be happy when it arrives reguardless. I ordered a VELVET RED/WHITE all around/red interior/anthracite and was a bit worried because I NEVER saw VR on the lot - just on the web. I heard some negative things about VR and got worried. If you saw my mini - you would want one just like it! I think I made a terrific choice - you will too.

I bet the VR looks great. I did not see it on the lot - the only color NOT on the lot. I'm waiting on an IB/W MCS. Scheduled for 2/21 production. Can't wait!!

 

I love my IB/W. I like how it gives that "classic" look. The IB/IB and IB/B are definitely nice too, and give it a more contemporary look. I also like the contrast of the white bonnet stripes more than the black. I guess it depends what kind of look you are going for. I wanted more of a retro look so I went with IB/W and do not regret it at all.

 

 

I love my '02 Indi Blue w/ Black and picked it because I ordered the sunroof. It's beautiful and because I also didn't order the chrome bumper inserts, it's very understated. I love the tricked-out MINIs but really love my stealth one. IB/B!

How about the black roof/mirros with white stripes. Here's a photshopped version. Think it might look really sharp and sporty, and of course unique.
