R50/53 Weird Reaction from "guys"
LOL Well coming from True Redneckville I can tell you that when we go to a Redneck bar (and there are plenty) Most of the ppl I talk to are accually interested in it and want to look in it. Almost all the time the "I wonder if that thing can drive up in the bed of the ol dodge" conversation comes up. LOL But I havn't gotten on bad comment other than someone saying they owned a golf cart that was bigger. I wonder if Mini's are allowed on golf courses now??? HMMMMM.... But really, Gender wise, I think you can order your mini to look like a car a girl would drive or one a guy would drive. So I really think it's a pretty neutral car. Doesn't one of the guys from silverchair or sevendust own one?
You know that magazine "Torque?" well they called the mcs girly and they recommended the mcs and mcsc for only women drivers in one of thier issues a while back. gee i know a lot of other automobile critics that would disagree to that.
well i'm not reading thier magazine anymore due to they jump into conclusion about a car before they actually drive one and try to appreciate it... what kind of car magazine they think they are? but who cares about crappy magazines, our car is in the sub zero section wall of TOP GEAR!!!

The cooper is far from a chick car. If you're seen behind the wheel of a Honda Del Sol, or maybe a VW Bug, then I'd start to worry. But the Mini has *****, and style to boot. Anyone that says otherwise has ego/esteem issues of their own to address.

) But that being said, I'm sure there are guys out there who do and there is no reason to drag them into this. We have a great car despite what the naysayers my think, lets not make ourselves feel better by bringing down everyone else (idiot SUV drivers are excluded from that last statement Oh and just to make sure no one gets offended, i'm referring to SUV drivers who are idiots, not saying that all SUV drivers are idiots.
A simple and elegant response to those who think a MINI Cooper isn't "manly" enough, is a "girl's" car, a "gay's" car, a "to little for a big stud like me car" etc etc. etc.
"If it's good enough for little "E"...It's good enough for me"!!!

I also have a tiny little window sticker that reads "Undercompensating" on both of my Minis.
I usually don't get much "gay" flak about my car. Usually just get blank stares and pointing due to its paintjob. Any "gay" comments I do have I just brush off, I have a few gay friends that all own or used to own Minis. I also have straight friends that drive them. Who cares what others think? We know our cars are superior!
Besides, if something as trivial as a so-called "gay" car is bothering someone, then they have deeper issues to be worrying about.
one of the first test drives felt kind of ackward because of the
color scheme the demo car had....it just wasn't my kind of style.
but the color and packaging i have on my MCS is definitely me.
If my MCS looks gay, then I like gay cars. so what?
