Going crazy!!!!

Today marks the third day I have been unable to drive my MINI. I miss it so so dearly.

I am awaiting the return of my ecu from Helix. Gah!!! I am wondering deeply now why I didn't drive 12 hours to have it done. I know that may sound crazy but my current withdrawls from my baby is making think that was what I should have done.

I really hope that whoever Helix uses for shipping delivers on Saturdays. I would call them and find out, but I called them 3 times yesterday checking to see if they had recieved my package.

I never realized how much I love this little car until I had to do without it. I normally drive it atleast 5-6 times a day. I'm stock driving my 89' civic dx currently and it is a piece of s**t.

I've had to go w/o my MINI a few times...I feel your pain!!! Cool thing is that, once you get if back, you'll love it all the more. You know....absence?!

How about this?

Folks that sell reprogramming for ECU's could send you a "loaner" stock ECU? And THEN you send in yours?

I think it must be easier, to live with a car at the dealer's for a few days than to be watching it out the window, in it's "disabled" state.

Have fun with your mods,
Tatt

Problem is the security(EWS) w/ our ECU.. If you want to use a different DME in your car, only the dealer can realign the EWS system to have it work on your car...

I believe realign a different DME in your car will mean that the old DME will need to be realigned. As far as the cost , at least $149 for every DME alignment...

Aniticipation is killing me even worse now. Last night was like christmas eve. I hope whoever Helix shipped through delivers on Saturdays.

Has anyone done the GIAC ecu through the mail? If so how long did it take to get your ecu back?
