How is the mini cooper goin uphill, it has 115 hp and 110 torque, and i love the car but i dont think thats enough power so i was wondering how the ride is uphill.

Remember, the car is only around 2500 pounds, so that 115 hp feels pretty peppy. Even with four people in the car, it doesn't feel minivan-slow. I've never driven very fast cars, but the MINI feels more powerful than anything I've driven ('88 Accord hatchback, '95 Geo Prizm), with the exception of my '89 Integra (all of those cars got far better fuel economy, by the way).

I think the impression that the MINI is underpowered is a result of how great the handling is, making it obvious it is that the platform could handle a lot more power. Feels just fine to me.

115 hp isn't too shabby, the New Beetle I traded in for my Mini had 115 as well, it was a peppy lil' thing, and it weighed more. My Mini, even though its 0-60 is 8.5 (more like 8.2-8.3 'cos of my K&N), that's a pretty darn fast time for a car. Think just ten years ago, you were hard pressed to find something in its price range that could match it. Nowadays, everything seems to be in the 5.5-9.5 sec range... nice!

Keep in mind a Chevy S10 Pick-Up has 120 HP and weighs 3200 LBS! So the 115 HP for a 2500 LB MINI is mucho fantastic. It's the weight to horsepower ratio thing! Just think, the Chevy Suburban has a 320 HP V8 and weighs 5800 LBS!

You'll be fine. There is no slowage when travelling uphill.....based on what everyone has already said here.
Enjoy your car.....GOOD COLOR CHOICE and welcome to MCO!

I had a Cooper before I got the S. I noticed it went fast uphill
and even faster downhill. Hope that helps.
