R50/53 Order now In!! (But..quick question)
My advisor called and left a vm today to let me know that my order will finally be going in!! The deposit was originally placed on 9/02 and it's going to be a 2/03 build for a March delivery. The question is: How accurate is the owner's lounge info during the first few days? Mine shows up as completely different from the specs that I have put in with my advisor. I have read other threads which hint that the specs are kinda out of wack in the beginning. In either case, I'll be double checking with the dealer tomorrow but just wanted to see what everybody else's experiences were with the owner's lounge info. The specs for my MCS is as follows:
Jet black w/black roof and mirror caps
Sports pack
Cold weather pack (2 weeks riding in my bro's MB w/heated seats convinced me!)
HK stereo
Lapis blue leather
OZ Superleggara wheels (sold through the dealer)

I think it is a good idea to double-check with your dealership and have them email or fax you a copy of the order put in for you. If something isn't right down the road at delivery, you'll have a hard copy to show them!

I have (or will very soon) an '03 MC and for the first few weeks after my order had been placed the owner's lounge showed the body color of my car with the incorrect interior listed and nothing about the roof/mirror caps or other options. You can call 1-866-ASK-MINI to confirm that they have the correct specs on your car. You'll just need to have your production number handy! ASK MINI will also be able to update you on the status of your car throughout production, as the OL can have a significant lag with that too.

The updates on the owners lounge are a little slow. ASKMINI has the information prior to the lounge being updated. I think the updates are getting more timely as time goes on though.

I ordered in late September and just received mine a week ago. I notice that the OL wasn't 100% up-to-date until about a week after I got my production number. I did call MINIUSA during this time and they said that it takes a couple of days for it to get updated 100%.
Also, during production and shipping, the owners lounge can also be as much as 3 to 5 days behind! But, if you read through the "can't wait for..." December, November and January, there are some really neat tricks for tracking your MINI after production is complete. Also, there is already a "can't wait for March" club, and posting there can be quite theraputic!

I found the owner’s lounge to be very accurate to my order. Made changes twice on my options and the lounge was updated in about a week. If you have any questions about your order call “ASK MINI: 1-866-275-6464”. They will have the latest info on you MINI. By the way, it seems we ordered the same MINI except the white roof and mirror caps . Motor On

My order 12/4/02 was perfect when first posted on the OL. I suggest calling the dealer to see if they can get it worked out.
