Our Dallas group is not an official club yet but we are growing fast! I was told by the MINICCA some time ago that would be getting in touch about becoming a chapter. Well we now have over 50 members and don't know what happened to the MINICCA. Can anyone help? Texas got their dealerships later than the rest of the country so the big interest is hitting us now. I thought someone may have already started various chapters.?.

I would recommend you proceed as if there were not a MINICCA.

You should *not* wait for MINICCA. You need to organize now. You should take advantage of the winter and prepare for spring and summer events.

Regardless of what happens with MINICCA, you will need to have club officers, a bank account (therefore a Tax I.D.), and so on.

See this thread on Club Organization

If you have any other questions, I'd be glad to help answer them.

Yes, Zappa!

I agree with DiD! Get going with your group ASAP and start motoring! Our SCMM club is nearing 70 members, I believe! We didn't wait for MINICCA...we just went for it and have had 3 great events to date!

Good luck to you!

Cheers!

Good luck with your group. Again, if you have questions along the way, feel free to ask on MCO. There are many people on here that are helping to organize groups. There is a lot of knowledge on here and you should feel free to tap into that.
