The MINI On It's Second Boat Ride...
Yesterday was absolutely beautiful outside (first time since October in VT) and we had the top down all day! We even took it for a boat ride!

30 Seconds after I took this picture, water started to spray onto the deck of the boat, so we had to momentarily put the top up (the MINI got a little wet)
. But once on dry land again, down it went. I just can't get over how calm the cockpit is at cruising speed! It is no problem having a normal conversation, or listen to music, it is just a wonderful little machine!

bit will probably make no difference.
Odd. When I lived in Chicago the one environmental component that did not make itself inconveniently evident (such as a frozen sidewalk when I had to carry a dead car battery 3 blocks) was the salt from Lake Michigan. But I think you're right that it must be in the air and therefore would have to settle onto the finish of cars. Thanks.

I wanted to take a picture of the front of the car but I would have gotten soaked.
