I have a production week!

Jeff, my MA, emailed me to tell me that my production week is the 18th week of the year! I'm very excited.

By my calculation, that would put my MINI into production first week of may. Could those who were recently through the production cycle confirm this for me? I don't want to get my hopes up about when the 18th week is for MINI. Can someone check my counting?

Jeff says from production to arrival at the dealership takes 2-3 weeks. I'm getting more and more antsy!

I think these production dates are very rough. My MA said mine would be week 14 (this week) and it was actually completed March 31.

The entire system seems to be a guesstimate. But on the positive side, it was a conservative guesstimate.

I should be in the VDC as I type.

Yeah, my MA confirmed that week 18 is the first week of May for MINI's calendar. So it looks like I'll have my MINI in May! That's next month!

And if it's a conservative estimate, like my friend OldMan here says, could be earlier!

This pleases me greatly.

Mini ordered February 22,
Production week 11
Entered production March 15
Off the line March 25
At dock March 30
Loaded on Resolve April 1
Offloaded New York April 9
Awaiting transport to dealership now. Should deliver on April 16.

I wasn't too anxious at first but now with mini getting close, . Enjoy your wait and good luck.

Very nice! I'll probably be having fits by the time it's loaded onto a ship to cross the sea!

Is there a May build thread yet?

I read threads like this and say wow ! I would die having to wait that long for my Mini and to think its in parts boxes or parts bins (what a thought) . Did you order it because the dealer didnt have what you wanted or to save on the dealer mark-up? Just wondering anyway good luck.

I ordered because I didn't want to compromise on any of the options I wanted. I didn't want a pre-made car in a lot across the country to get shipped, and cars at MINI of Sterling go so fast anyways, it just made sense to order.

Knowing I'm going to get EXACTLY the car I'm looking for made it all the easier.

05MCSa,

Nice! I bought mine and didnt know you could order it with desired options. Now I look back and wish I would have ordered it to my liking. It would have been worth the wait. Good Luck
