Rocker panel - dumb question
OK, I just noticed today that my '05 MCS has different color rocker panel plates. Is that normal? The driver's side has a silver plate with the MCS "logo" and the passenger side has a blue one. That seems weird. Did they get lazy the day they made my car?

Good call! That was it
. I checked it after work today. The blue sticker thingie was on so perfectly I couldn't tell that it was a protective coating. How embarrassing. Thanks!

Hmmmmm. I've noticed that blue tint also on my '02 MCS. When I get home I think I'll have to check that also.... So, don't be too embarrassed!

Rocker Panel: The thing you step over while getting in the car.
I left mine on for months, once I noticed them, to help protect the finish. Once they started to lift it was a sad day

Actually, it's the sill plate. The rocker panel is the section of the body under the door.

Yes, the thing you step over while getting in the car.
You are correct the blue tint film does in fact cover the sill plate, which is mounted on the ... well lets not get into that.

The sill plate, which is mounted on the sill.
Technically the rocker panel is up underneath the car, behind the plastic part.

Yeah, I actually liked the look of the blue one but it seemed kind of silly that they didn't match, so off it went...

The driver's side sill has a silver protective film. If you pull that one off, it's blue underneath....
