In the grocery store today I noticed and bought a nice little Cooper in LYW. More acurately, I should say that my 2 year old noticed ("MINI! MINI!&quot and I bought the model. Also, a classic Cooper in BRG with a checkered flag on the roof. Both are very cool and at 65 cents each (I think they were on sale from their usual price of 99 cents ) are a bit more affordable than the nice German models avail elsewhere. Certainly less detail, but still neat.

Does anyone know what other color combos these models may come in? I seem to recall a CRB and a CRW on the Hot Wheels website, but not the LY one I now have. This leads me to believe that there may be other combos out there lurking in the drugstores and Toys R Us's of America. I'd love to find a EBW. Unfortunately, no S model... But cheap desktop fun that can stay parked next to my computer, etc. Stocking stuffers?

And when ya get bored playing with them on the desktop, drill a hole in the roof insert a small screw, put a hanger on it and hang it from the Christmas tree...provided you HAVE a Christmas tree and provided you tire of the desktop fun before January...

I have two classic Minis with the checkered roofs: yellow and dark blue. They are pretty trick, as you can slide a button on the bottom and pull the body off and look at the roll cages. The yellow one has a blue cage, and the dark blue one has a bright orange cage. Really cool stuff for a hot wheel!

I've got a Yellow MC and BRG w/ black&white check roof and yellow roll cage - These are both Hotwheels. I've seen on ebay a black MINI with flames on the side, but have never seen it in person. I've also got a CR MC Maisto that we picked up at the auto show and I keep on my desk at the office.

There are only 2 color combos in the 2002 line up with the new mini body style. The brg/b and ly/w. They are very hard to come by and the BRG is almost impossible. I scored one a while back and haven't seen one since. I also have the classic mini in the blue and yellow. There is also a classic mini whith flames on the side, I think its black, it's a treasure hunt car and sells for about 10 bucks on e-bay.

Okay!, so I'm a little obsessed with my toys. My son also has a poster that says all of the details.

I've got 2 silver w/ black top die cast models, one is a 5 inches, has opening doors, and cost about $6, and the other is
1:18 (about 8inches), and cost $65! It's incredibly detailed, has carpets, doors, bonnet and hatch open, and the wheels can be turned. I got it at the dealership- it's going to tide me over until mine gets here in early March- silver w/ black top and all packages. The toys make the wait a bit more tolerable!

Interestingly enough, I'm looking at the Hot Wheels one I have sitting on my dresser. It's a 1/18th IB/W. Unfortunately though, it's not an S. I've noticed a flaw in the details of it though. It's got the normal antenna on it but it's got the NAV system on the inside. Hot Wheel wasn't paying attention!

Thanks Randy! I hadn't even noticed that the bodies came off until I read your post. Very cool indeed for a model that costs under a dollar. Now that I have the BRG one, I think I'll have to start looking for yellow and dark blue. Also seems like there are a few more color combos of the new MINI model than the LYW that I have. And yeah, I know I could go on eBay and buy the whole lot of them at once...but where's the fun in that?

You never grow too old for hot wheels (or matchboxes, etc.). All I have to do now is keep these particular ones out of the kids' hands.

JSUN: I have both of the hot wheels models you just described. Got the LYW in July from a friend and actually just picked up the BRG with checkered roof (old body style) yesterday from TOYS R US. I haven't seen any other colors in the hot wheels model.

Also, I have an exact replica of my EB/W MCS. It's pretty small, but has decent detail. My boyfriend ordered it for me off of the internet. The company that makes it is IXO and you can find it on http://www.ixomodels.com. It was about 30 bucks I think and comes in a clear viewing case. I wanted to try to find a way to hang it from my rearview so I'd have a mini version of my MINI hanging there! Haven't decided to try it out yet though. It's sitting on my desk in my office now.

A couple months ago my boyfriend bought me one of those little cars that are the rave right now, and its a mini cooper! It's actually quicker than most of those other little cars (duh! haha) and it is infrared. Found it at TOYS R US. It's pretty cool!

I have 4 of the 2002 Treasure Hunt MINI's and 3 of the Treasure Hunt Anglia Panel Vans. The TH MINI is great. Also got really lucky and scored one of the BRG/checkered roof Mini's for .99 cents at a local Benny's store. If you get any of these cars don't ever open the package. Put it away in a safe place and ebay it in 10 years. The TH Mini probably won't be worth as much but an example of how crazy things can get: The 1995 TH Camaro is going for well over $500- now!

Mini Hot Wheels!!
I belong to the Hot Wheels Collectors Club. We started a Mini Cooper collectors club a couple of months ago on the site and we have over 60 members. I have a page on my web site for the club to use to see the different Minis that are out.
I got my Mini on the 11th and its the coolest car on the road.So if you need any info on the HW Minis I should be able to help. The page is called The Mini Cooper Family.
Have fun collecting and motoring!!
