$2300/Year: 05 MCS --- USAA Ins.

22 Years old/Male no accidents or tickets. I think my insurance is a little high b/c of the fact that I have US Spec and I'm driving in the UK. Insurance should drop to ~$2000/Year after 14 APRIL when I hit 23.... Can't wait to go back to the states and save some money on insurance.

These types of threads pop up regularly on NAM, and are not meant to be prying, but rather, are more out of curiosity, I think.

When I found out that my MINI was insured as a sub-compact hatch, and so incredibly reasonably, I was really pleasantly surprised.

I don't think camelpilot meant to offend anyone with this thread. I really think it's fun to compare and contrast the rates from different areas of the US, Canada, and elsewhere.

Motor on.

My 2005 Mini will run me $2 less a month then my 2004 Ford Escape (changed to scheduled for production some time this weekend!). I pay $132 a month for my Escape and CBR 954. Lots of DWI and uninsured motorist here which drive up the cost more then some other states. I'm 31, own home, no tickets (that showed up on the record), good credit and have been with State Farm for about 8 years.

It think the motorcycle insurance comes out to $43 a month or something. You can't beat State Farm if you own a crotch rocket. They insure motorcycles as a second vehicle, not the primary.

wow... i don't know where you guys live but what you guys are paying is so cheap compared to mine. i live in boston, ma and i pay around 2100 yearly full coverage. i'm a step 9 driver (the lowest). it does suck to live in a very large city.

I drive my MINI, but would never think of asking someone else what they pay for insurance. Sort of private to me. People are wicked paranoid of being overcharged and it's much simpler to ask everyone than to actually do their homework and compare the prices of different companies. Maybe lazy. Maybe not. I can see asking about problems you might have with a car, or a dealship. I'm just old fashioned that way. But offended? Nah. Skunks are offensive. Condescending people are offensive. Selfish people are offensive. Hmmm. People who don't bath often are offensive. Pushy people are offensive. Oh yeah, and people who think I'm offended by a post and don't ask first are offensive and poor judges of others. Doesn't mean you're a bad person. Just uninformed. Motor on dude.
Relax,it was a question asked, with no need to reply, unless you wanted to.
Hopefully no one is offended,geez

I am in this ballpark as well but mine is a little less maybe $500 and I have super high limits.

My daughters cooper cvt is almost 3K per year. we have 4 cars on the policy as well as our home. The home really helped th eprice quite a bit !

I can hook you up with my agent if you are in the south bay ( so cal ) and are looking for a new insurance company.

$680 a year with State Farm. Full coverage with a $250.00 deductible (none on glass). About 35% of what my insurance was in New York. Let's hear it for North Carolina!

I must be getting $crewed - $220 per month for my S and my Jetta, 2 drivers, both with perfect records. Maybe it's because I live near the land of illegals w/o insurance?

Allstate, NoCal

99 Civic Si..........$640/yr
65 Ford Mustang..$515/yr ($30k declared value)
01 Acura MDX.....$750/yr
02 MCS..............$784/yr

Married Couple, no driving kids
100,300,100 Liability
Unisured, Medical, Collision & comprehensive, $1k deductible

This is odd, as the mustang is declared as a modified collectors car, it's the oldest, has the oldest safety equipment, is valued the highest, and has the most power! Go figure!

There making you pay for more than just your mini. You need to look at the insurance and see for yourself. I just made 23 and I am still under my parents insurance and my Mini S is like $124 a month without any tickets or accidents ever. Were also switching to farm bureau next week because since I leased my mini, we have to have 100/300/100 and Allstate wouldn't let us put it on just the Mini. So we told them to shove it basically. By switching, it is dropping to $98 a month. Keep in mind that's for the S also. A base mini he said would run me about $75-80 a month with farm bureau. Allstate was around $115-$120. I do agree. Allstate sucks the most!! Well they all do for that matter. LOL
