R50/53 Flywheel bolts replacements?
Flywheel bolts replacements?
Hey all,
So two years ago I replaced the clutch with the Valeo 52151203 Solid Flywheel Conversion Kit. Since I was all the way in there, I did the rear main seal, even though it wasn't leaking, as well as a bunch of other convenient parts while i was at it, especially since I was at about 185K miles. Now, of course, the rear main seal appears to be leaking. I haven't taken it apart yet, but an endoscope shows wet in between the flywheel and the block and there is the typical drips at the seam between the oil pan and transmission, as well as on the starter where it bolts to the tranny, and even some seeping from the clutch shaft seal where it comes out from the housing. My question is, since I'll most likely be removing the flywheel, which is no longer stock, where do i get replacement bolts when I put it back together. I obviously am not ready to do a whole new clutch since there is barely 10K miles on it so don't want to buy a whole kit. Since they are torque to yield, i know not to reuse the bolts, and assume stock bolts aren't the correct length anymore. Any help at where to get replacements would be appreciated. Thank you all, and if this has been answered somewhere else, please direct me and I apologize for the duplicate topic.

Thank you for that. I saw the R50 bolts where essentially the same only shorter, so I suspected they could work, but obviously wouldn't try them without confirmation from someone who has done their research. Now just need to get this leak fixed so I can stop hearing about how maybe it's time to think Mini for its service and send it upstate.

Flywheel Bolts R50 R52 Cooper NON SR50FlywheelBolts
Brand: MINI - OEM
WayMotor Works informed me that these factory bolts will work on R53 MCS, for the single mass flywheel or ARP bolts…
